*************************************************************** After the release of Windows 11, Microsoft made it not only difficult, but near impossible, to use a local account on your PC. Let's do the impossible. <br> Below is the first screen you see on the OOBE (out of box experience): <br> ![[bypassNRO1.png]] <br> <br> Hit "Shift + F10" on your keyboard - a black window should pop up, this being the Command Prompt. Type "oobe\bypassnro" and hit enter (not case senestive). The computer will restart. <br> ![[bypassNRO2.png]] <br><br> **!IMPORTANT!** <br> Once the PC is powered on, hit "Shift + F10" again, then send the command "ipconfig /release" to the window: <br> ![[bypassNRO2point5.png]] <br><br> Close the command prompt, then hit next until you meet the screen below:<br> ![[bypassNRO3point1.png]] <br> Click "I don't have internet". <br><br> ******************************************** Then click "Continue with limited setup": <br> ![[bypassNRO4.png]] <br> <br> You will then be brought to a screen to enter your name, as shown below: <br> ![[bypassNRO5.png]] <br> This will be your local account username, chose this accordingly. <br> ******************************************** From here, you can either chose to enter a password, or hit "next" and your account will be created, but without a password. After this, you're in the clear and may chose settings as you wish.<br> ******************************************** **~Final Step~**<br> To get your workstation back online, log into your newly made local account, then click on the "Start" button. Type "cmd" and hit enter.
